Kraljica (Queen)

"Kraljica" is the only domestic brandy brand with a PROTECTED GEOGRAPHIC ORIGIN, which means a full control of the production process starting from the fruit and ending with the final product, while the whole process is controlled by the state. It is produced in accordance with the protected production technology cherishing the old fame of "Povlena“, the first plum-made brandy in former Yugoslavia with the mark of a geographic origin in  Kosjerić fruit growing area.

This miraculous brandy, having its royal name for reason, owes its quality to an extraordinary climate in which plums are grown at the altitude between 500 and 900 meters above sea level and in ecological vineyards. The vineyards bring the top quality fruits of "Požegača", "Trnovača" and "Crvena ranka" cultivars, harvested at the point of their highest ripeness.

In its development from the branch to a glass, the plum-brandy "Kraljica" passes the process we call "a development from a tortured to a noble entity".

After the receipt of fresh harvested fruits, stone is taken out and thus cleaned and partially mashed plums enter the process of the controlled fermentization and distillation at later stage, ageing in oak barrels, stabilization and filtration. The distillation process releases the “core”, and/or the medium distillation fraction when pure fruit ethanol is extracted. “Tortured” in such a manner, it finally achieves the perfection of nobleness and justifies its royal name.

Do you know how it finally gets its respectable taste and its unique quality? Heating the boilers with wood and oak barrels in which it ages while its awaits filling in bottles!

Characteristics

Rich and sophisticated fragrance of real fruit dominates the taste of this brandy, which is harmonious and with a final touch of pure oak flavour.

One may drink "Kraljica" in all occasions, and usually as aperitif. It is served at room temperature or cooled down to cellar temperature at maximum when it releases its full and rich flavour.
