The mark of the protected geographic origin on the product guarantees a specific and definitely a unique quality to consumers throughout the world.

Our brandy “Kraljica” (Queen) is one of just 30 products from Serbia having a mark of the protected geographic origin and the only brandy in Serbia entitled to have such a mark. This mark designates that the "Queen" was produced in a particular and characteristic geographic region, of plums with the highest cultivar quality in that region, by technology and manner of production making it a unique brand.

To put it in simple words, it communicates the message to consumers that "Queen" is a special brandy and characterized by specific and high quality features.

The procedure of protecting the geographic origin has been regulated by EU and in particular defined by Lisbon Agreement, while each country adopts the laws governing this field (in our country, the Law on marking a geographic origin, Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, 18/2010).

Owing to fruit grown in the geographic area and special technology of production, the Zarić distillery obtained the mark of the geographic origin protection for the "Queen" which helped it become distinguished in the world market by its quality and at the same time promote not only Serbia, but Kosjerić as well, the richest fruit growing area in our country.

In this way and with the "Queen", the plum brandy brand has been restored to its place and to its source for which Serbia had been known worldwide.
